Dave Baranes

Dave Baranes is a self-taught painter born in 1975 in Drancy, near Paris. From childhood, he was passionate about drawing, influenced by the Hip-Hop culture and Street Art of the 1980s. This early immersion in urban art naturally led him to graffiti and mural painting, where he developed a unique style combining realism and trompe-l’œil.

Dave Baranes excels in the art of trompe-l’œil, creating works that give the illusion of depth and reality. He uses a combination of spray paint and acrylic to produce impressive murals that adorn urban walls. His works are characterized by a juxtaposition of colorful urban backgrounds and realistic depictions of wild animals, often endangered.
