Environmental responsibility
Preserving Corsica’s natural heritage :
Energy
– Monthly monitoring of our consumption.
– Preventive maintenance of equipment.
– Use of compact fluorescent bulbs and LEDs.
– Hot water production through solar panels.
– System performance exceeding predefined thresholds.
Water
– Monthly monitoring of our consumption.
– Installation of flow regulators.
– Raising awareness among our guests about managing towel usage.
Wastewater
– Collective wastewater treatment.
– Annual preventive cleaning of lifting equipment carried out by us.
Biodiversity
– Planting of species adapted to local conditions.
– Protection of the lagoon and Santa Giulia beach. Each year, depending on the winds and moods of the sea, deposits of dry seagrass leaves (posidonia, a marine plant) form a natural barrier along the shoreline. These posidonia beds help protect the beaches from erosion. That’s why we are committed to respecting them and not removing them from the coastline. To ensure the comfort of swimmers, Santa Giulia beach is divided into natural zones and swimming areas free of posidonia. The support of our guests is invaluable in our environmental protection efforts.
Green purchasing
– More environmentally friendly products.
– Regional and seasonal products in our restaurants and breakfast service. In 2017, we also opened our 100% organic beach bar, from the materials used to the products offered. To learn more, visit the page of our establishment, OASIS Santa Giulia.
